These watercolors and drawings range from the realistic to the abstract. As you may be able to tell from their titles, the long, horizontal beaches were painted en plein air in and around the beaches of Huntington. The more abstract paintings were an attempt to paint the qualities of water and sand, painting from imagination. Instead of framing each of these abstract smaller pieces, I coated them with a satin acrylic varnish and mounted them on photo frames so that they could hang on a wall or sit on a table.
