Liz Ehrlichman: Brahms Requiem

I had the good fortune to sing in a chorus (Huntington Choral Society) and the extra good fortune of singing Brahms’ German Requiem. These collages on cradled panel were created as visual counterparts of segments of the Requiem. Each one is a verbal and visual “snapshot” of some part of the piece. I retained the German text, although I am not accountable for misspellings (or wrong notes!)

You can see that the first of them is a digital collage. The background is the cover of my score – with comments in pencil.
